Tuners roll out another costly Land Rover Defender 90 restomod

Kingsley Re-Engineered (UK) has turned an old Land Rover Defender 90 into a stylish modern off-roader, but it will cost you the equivalent of U.S. $184,000 before options and not counting the donor SUV.

Working on the Defender, the company restores it from the ground up and deletes the hardtop in favor of a simpler-looking cloth tent. A multimedia system with Apple CarPlay support appears in the cabin along with whatever else the owner may want. The suspension and the brakes get their share of upgrades, too.

Rounding off the list is the mandatory engine swap, and the customers have a lot of options here, including the popular LS3 and LT1 V8s by General Motors.
