Novelties
Land Rover has launched the new Defender on its domestic market from £57,135.
You can check it out in the gallery here and compare to the pre-facelift version in the video. As you can see, the headlights now sport a new midsection, while the taillights are tinted by default and installed flush with the bodywork. The standard radiator grille is black now, while the hood and side inserts are textured differently. New 22-inch wheels round off the exterior changes.
Inside, the biggest improvement arguably comes in the form of the main infotainment display growing from 11.4 to 13.1 inches of diagonal size. A driver-side camera now detects drowsy and distracted driving, but you can toggle it off via the head unit.
For the first time on record, the Defender gets an adaptive cruise control system for the off-road. It can auto-adjust acceleration to maximize comfort, Land Rover says.
