Land Rover pauses Evoque and Disco Sport sales over certification issues

The British automaker has halted the sales of its plug-in-hybrid Evoque and Disco Sport P300e models. Neither is available from authorized dealerships at the time of writing.

As it turns out, the manufacturer has only recently posted CO2 emission figures for the duo, reporting 32 g/km for the Evoque and 36 g/km for the Disco Sport P300e. The cars now need to obtain the corresponding certificates before shipping.

Land Rover emphasizes that it will make every effort to expedite the process, because both SUVs are in quite high demand in Europe. Aggravating the issue is the fact that customers are growing tired of the long waiting and complain that their cars arrive to them after spending several months just sitting on a factory parking lot collecting dust.
