British car manufacturer Land Rover has permanently shut down the development of the three-door Range Rover SV Coupe. At £240,000 and above, the car was going to become the marque’s most expensive model ever.
The Range Rover SV Coupe Concept debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in spring last year. It was based on the standard Range Rover SUV platform and came equipped with a 5.0-liter supercharged engine rated at 565 hp (421 kW).
According to the manufacturer, the concept car could accelerate 0-100 km/h in five seconds flat and ultimately climb as high as 260 km/h (162 mph).
Tech-wise, the Range Rover SV Coupe featured a 4WD with a rear diff lock and air suspension.
The company had expected to produce only 999 copies of its most expensive SUV.
