37 old Land Rovers and 2 spare part containers can be yours for $0.5M

Three dozen old Land Rover cars – mostly first-gen Range Rovers – and a couple of 40ft spare part containers for them are up for grabs in the USA for an asking price of $500,000, although you can also buy a part of the collection.

The seller had previously been in the business of restoring classic Land Rovers and admits he did it to pay for his medical college tuition. With the college behind now, he wants to get rid of the useless cars and parts he had collected all around the United States.

Most of the assembly (19 vehicles) are Range Rover Soft Dash crossovers from the 1990s. As their nickname suggests, they have soft plastic trim in the cabin. 12 are long-wheelbase and 3 are 25th Anniversary Edition units. The condition varies from sample to sample, but none is perfect.

There are also some Defender, Discovery, Freelander and 2008 Range Rover models in the mix. Many aren’t in drivable condition, but some are mostly usable. The collection also includes kit car parts, such as Ford and General Motors V8 engines and components.
