Everrati to turn Land Rover Defender, Range Rover classics into EVs

British electric car specialist Everrati will be expanding its portfolio soon to incorporate two Land Rover conversions.

he tuner is now offering a full restoration, modernization and electrification for the older Defender and Range Rover models. Switching your Range Rover to battery propulsion will cost a cool £230,000 (~280,000 USD) for the materials and work alone, donor car not included.

Aside from swapping out the engine and putting one or more electric motors in its place, Everrati conducts a complete restoration of the car, including a full makeover of the cabin. If you don’t have a suitable car, the company will find one for you.

The new powertrain parts are arranged so as not to affect the weight distribution and handling too much. The company stresses that all mods are reversible, meaning you can slot the engine back in if you decide to.

Everrati produced a restomod last year based on the Land Rover Series IIA (see video) that ended up with a single motor with 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque. It was still advertised as a capable off-roader thanks to retaining the transfer case and on-demand AWD.
