UK-based dealership Bramley Motor Cars is looking for a buyer for this stretched 2016 Range Rover once used by Queen Elizabeth II and U.S. President Barack Obama. The asking price of £224,850 buys you two new Range Rovers, but that’s probably beside the point.
The SUV was purchased and retrofitted in 2016. In April that year, Prince Philipp drove Barack Obama and his wife to Windsor Castle in this car. Bramley Motor points out that Obama typically used his limo known as The Beast for getting around, but made an exception for that trip.
As it was customized for the royal family, the Range Rover received different running boards, a concealed light bar, a special sound alarm, and handrails for the convenience of those getting in and out of the second seat row. Only these handrails were left in place when the car was decommissioned and sold; the rest of the modifications were removed. The seller emphasizes that, as unlikely as it may seem, the car still retains its original number plates – the same it had when it was driven by the royalty.
Other than that, it is a maxed-out stock 2016 Range Rover model equipped with a 4.4-liter diesel V8. The odometer shows slightly more than 29,000 km (18,000 miles) of use. The listing didn’t specify whether Queen Elizabeth II had ever driven it herself.
