Range Rover Evoque enjoys a modest update

Along with the Discovery Sport, Land Rover has also refreshed its Range Rover Evoque lineup. The pattern is the same with the exception of some nuances.

Like the Discovery Sport, the Evoque gains 163 horsepower (122 kW) in its 2.0 TDI D165 version coming to replace the old D150, while retaining the max torque of 380 Nm (280 lb-ft). The new D200 version makes the D180 obsolete with 204 hp (152 kW) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft). An automatic transmission distributes the momentum across all four wheels in both specs, and while the D165 needs 9.8 seconds to hit 100 km/h (62 mph), the D200 manages it in 8.5 seconds. You may also get the D165 with manual gear shifting if you’d like; the sprint time will go up to 10.1 seconds.

The new P160 FWD is the main spec for 2021. It has a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine good for 160 hp (120 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is nine-speed automatic, and a 48V starter assists it for 0-100 km/h in 10.3 seconds. Prices in Great Britain begin from £32,100.

The Pivi infotainment system is now included in the standard trim version, while Pivi Pro is optional. Land Rover points out improved performance, UI graphics and menus, as well as Spotify support and OTA updates. All-around view cameras now yield a 3D image, and the air filtering system is said to be more efficient than before.

Two new high-end trims are available, called Autobiography and Lafayette Edition. Both ship in the full range of standard colors, but the Lafayette Edition boasts a Nolita Grey roof previously only seen in the First Edition batch. It also gets larger 20-inch wheels.
