Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate teased with glass particles in paint

Land Rover has announced the Ultimate edition of its Range Rover Sport SVR, which will premiere at the Special Vehicle Operations booth during Salon Privé expo in Blenheim Palace, UK, on September 1-5.

Perhaps the single most unusual feature of the car comes in the form of tiny reflecting particles of white glass embedded in the main layer of exterior finish, which creates a pleasant ‘star shine’ effect. Customers can choose from grey, matter black and blue for the car body and specify a different tint for the roof.

There are also checkered black Range Rover captions on the tailgate and the carbon-fiber hood with new air intakes, white-rimmed side intakes, and blacked-out grille, roof, caliper and mirrors. 22-inch dual-five-spoke wheels sit in the arches.

The stock SVR (see video) is the most powerful and the fastest car on the Range Rover lineup. It packs a 5.0-liter V8 good for 575 PS (567 hp / 423 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, which enables it to go 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.5 seconds and up to a top speed of 283 km/h (175 mph).
