Behind-the-scenes video explains a James Bond car stunt for the new movie

YouTube channel James Bond 007 has posted a video revealing the secrets behind a certain chase and crash scene filmed for the upcoming movie, No Time To Die.

The scene starred two tuned, identical-looking Range Rover Sport SVR vehicles outfitted with standard suspension and the most powerful engines available from the factory. As for the 22-inch wheels, carbon fiber accents and carbon fiber hood, these are available as paid options for all SVR models.

Interestingly enough, stunt coordinator Lee Morrison insisted on filming the off-road chase sequence in real-world conditions without CGI – and ultimately did just that. In the video, you can see the cars falling and tumbling for real, although of course certain measures had to be taken in order for the idea to succeed. Among other things, certain safety aids had to be disabled, and safety cages added into the cabins. The drivers wore racing helmets.

Land Rover will soon be launching a special edition of the Defender celebrating the premiere of the movie. Aston Martin is exhibiting a DB5 packaged like a giant toy car in London for the same occasion.
