New Range Rover Sport SVR wraps up winter tests

Spy shots of the new Range Rover Sport SVR, which may go on sale later this year, have cropped up online. The British carmaker is wrapping up cold weather tests as the temperatures rise all over Europe and spring draws near.

The company continues hiding the true appearance of the SUV from prying eyes, with this particular test vehicle seemingly wearing even more wrap than the rest. You may think it is a normal RR Sport, but unique features like an aggressive front bumper, quad exhaust tips and some trim details reveal that it is actually an SVR top spec.

Inside, a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.1-inch infotainment touchscreen are both high on our list of expectations.

Rumor has it that Land Rover may borrow BMW engines for its new RR series, including the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 of the BMW X5 M. This remains to be confirmed.
