UK-based Everrati Automotive Limited specializes in electrifying classic cars. It already had entries like the Porsche 911 (964) EV in its portfolio (see video), and now, a Land Rover Series IIA has complemented the lineup.
The car just debuted at the Concours of Elegance in Hampton Court, London. The company neglected to mention what kind of engine it originally had, but cars produced between 1961–1971 came equipped with 2.25-liter petrol and diesel four-cylinders, as well as a 2.6-liter six-pot.
As a full-fledged restomod, the Series IIA has been torn down to the last screw and reassembled again, its chassis and body freshly coated with zinc. The new electric motor drives the wheels with 152 PS (150 hp / 112 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque. A 60-kWh battery gives it 201 km (125 miles) of autonomy. Going from zero to sixty miles per hour (0-97 km/h) now succeeds in 13 seconds – still an improvement over the 23 seconds of the original SUV.
Elsewhere, the Series IIA features power steering and braking, waistline safety harnesses, and heated front seats wrapped in Bridge of Weir luxury leather of Scottish origin.
