Lexus will be bringing its “brand new” LM vehicle to the 2019 Auto Shanghai show starting in a few days. In the meantime, the company has released another teaser pic of the model.
Now there is no longer any doubt that the car is a minivan/MPV. Rumors say it might be a modified version of the Toyota Alphard, but this hasn’t become official yet.
The Japanese luxury carmaker has recently claimed rights to two new trademarks in China: LM350 and LM300h. As it now turns out, the former refers to a 3.5-liter V6 version of the minivan rated at 301 hp (225 kW), while the latter denotes a hybrid version based on a 2.5-liter gas engine rated at 197 hp (147 kW).
Photos showing the front fascia of the MPV surfaced online a while ago. The car had narrow-slit headlights, a spindle-shaped front grille, and DRLs styled like traditional hook weapons dating back to Ancient China.
In the fall of 2018, we learned that Lexus was getting ready to push out a Lamborghini Urus rival that would inherit the looks of the LF-1 Limitless Concept along with the 10-speed automatic transmission and the engine of the new LC F.
