Lexus will be unveiling its first mass-produced electric car at the 2019 Auto Guangzhou show coming up on November 22. The company stresses that the model will primarily target Europe and China markets.
No details are available to date, except for the single teaser image seen here (the ‘Electric’ badge against a blue car body).
Unofficial sources claim that the newcomer is based on the UX SUV and is called the UX-EV. They also estimate its driving range at between 400 and 500 kilometers (250 – 310 miles).
Lexus’ latest major premiere was the LF-30 Electrified Concept shown at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show (see the photos and the video). The design study came equipped with four independently motorized wheels rated at 135 hp (100 kW) each and a self-driving system.
