The littlest SUV: Lexus debuts UX Concept at Geneva

The Japanese luxury car maker Lexus has revealed its latest development – the compact UX crossover – during the press days of the 2018 Geneva show. The car should see its North American release later this year, but won’t be available in Europe until 2019.

According to an official spokesman of the brand, Lexus UX utilizes the brand new GA-C car platform. It has an aluminum body with a plastic trunk door. The car gets released in two modifications, UX 200 and UX 250h. The former gets a 2.0L gasoline engine good for 171 hp, whereas the latter comes equipped with a hybrid unit comprising a similar 2.0L engine, an electric motor, and a battery set for 178 hp total output.

Last but not least, an F Sport upgrade package for the Lexus UX has also been announced during the presentation. Once out on the market, it will ship with improved suspension, a new radiator grille, sport seats, and unique 18-inch wheels.
