Lexus ES becomes safer in the latest update

Lexus has facelifted the seventh-gen ES sedan three years after the launch, putting the new car on display at its show booth in Shanghai, China.

On the outside, the new 2022 ES has new paint options, headlights, radiator grille design and wheels. The main novelty inside is a different infotainment system with a touch-enabled display that now sits 100 mm (4 inches) closer to the driver. Previously unavailable trim versions are also on the list now.

Lexus says that chassis tweaks have improved overall handling, and the F Sport version now has adaptive shocks. Brakes have also been upgraded, while the engines have stayed the same.

The main emphasis of the update fell on safety assists and driver aids, which have been allegedly improved across the board. Unfortunately, we do not have all the specifics yet.
