Lexus ES costs more in 2024MY version

Lexus has introduced yet another facelift of its ES sedan in the United States. The car received updates in 2021 and 2022 (see video), so the scope of changes isn’t too impressive this time around.

Starting now, the optional Technology Package is available for a wider number of trims, including Base, Luxury, F Sport Design, and F Sport Handling. It comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment display, a heads-up display, a smart key, and over-the-air update support.

On the outside, the car boasts new 18-inch wheels finished in Vapor Chrome. These are included in the top-of-the-line ‘Ultra Luxury’ trim by default, but you can pay extra to get them in the Luxury trim. Other than that, the exterior stays the same.

Engine choices include a four-cylinder mill with 207 PS (204 hp / 152 kW), a six-pot with 306 PS (302 hp / 225 kW), and a hybrid with 218 PS (215 hp / 160 kW). Nothing here is new, either.

Despite the barely noticeable changes, the whole ES lineup now costs more. The base spec starts from U.S. $43,190 (+700) and all higher trim levels begin $1,100 higher than before (from $49,760).
