The Lexus GX is a true veteran of the Japanese premium car brand, having debuted in its current generation in 2010. The exterior has since received a few updates, while the cabin proceeded to grow hopelessly outdated. Before the next-gen GX arrives in 2024, however, buyers can opt for the Black Line trim package revealed this week.
Most of the novelty can be found inside the car, notably including a redesigned dashboard and a more modern infotainment unit. The multimedia display is 10.3 inches large, and the system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa. The trim scheme revolves around black leather with occasional dark ash accents.
Exterior highlights include new 18-inch wheels finished in gloss-black, a Dark Chrome radiator grille, new anti-fog lamps and unique bumpers at both ends.
The old 4.6-liter V6 rated at 314 PS (310 hp / 231 kW) and 446 Nm (330 lb-ft) still provides the power to the wheels. Lexus promises to start sales this year, but specific dates and pricing remain to be announced.
