Switching a 2WD car to all-wheel drive can seem like an insurmountable task, but when you already have north of 1,000 horsepower crammed into the engine bay, it makes sense to spread it over both axles. This is what the owner of this Lexus IS 300 did, too.
He asked Porting Solutions to swap the stock engine for the legendary 2JZ mill of the Toyota Supra Mk4. A single giant turbocharger and two fuel injectors per cylinder helped it churn out 1,250 metric horsepower (1,233 hp / 919 kW). A General Motors four-speed automatic transmission was entrusted with carrying the torque to the wheels.
As a result, the premium saloon now needs less than 2.9 seconds to go from 97 to 210 km/h (60-130 mph). If this somehow isn’t enough to impress you, consider that the interior still has all the stock equipment intact, including even the AC and power windows.
