Lexus told the media it was working on an expansion of its LC family. Apparently, the company plans to bring a Lexus LC Convertible and a Lexus LC F high-end coupe to the market soon.
The new Lexus LC Convertible has already been approved for mass production and should enter the showrooms in two years from now on. The manufacturer expects the newcomer to provide strong competition to similar BMW and Mercedes models currently on the market.
As for the Lexus LC F coupe, the car is still a big question mark. According to an insider source, the fate of the entire project remains uncertain – which is strange, considering that car industry professionals expected the two-seat high-performance coupe prototype to debut last year.
Should the new Lexus LC F make it to the mass market after all, it would come equipped with a revised 4.0-liter V8 engine capable of 620 hp.
