A Lexus LFA with less than 20,000 km (12,400 miles) on the counter has cropped up on sale in the UK for an asking price of £849,950, 2.5 times its new price nine years ago.
The supercar belongs to a production batch limited to 500 units and is one of only 64 units to come with the optional Nürburgring Package installed. The package includes, among other things, a carbon-fiber body kit with a front splitter and a fixed rear wing, lightweight BBS rims and a 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V10 boosted by 10 horsepower to 562 PS (554 hp / 413 kW).
This specific vehicle started its life in white color, although the Nürburgring Package was also available in orange and black (watch the video for an example). It had stayed with its first owner in Canada for a few years, but was imported to Brazil in 2014 and re-painted in Emerald T Green with gold shavings mixed in. While it meant losing authenticity, it also made it unique in a sense.
Other than that, the Lexus LFA Nürburgring Package has been known to sell for more than the amount specified above. A similar coupe was sold for $1.6 million USD this August thanks to its as-new condition and only 1,500 km (930 miles) of use.
