Lexus has shared more photos of its Electrified Sport Concept, a successor of sorts to the LFA model. While EV platforms allow for a greater diversity of body styles, the car makes sure to look like it still rocks a combustion engine under its overlong hood (perhaps there is a part of the battery there instead).
Technical details are scarce at the moment. Lexus might be able to use solid-state batteries for the supercar, in which case it would be able to cover around 700 km/h (435 miles) on a charge, but this is not official yet. Going 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) should take around two seconds. The launch date has not yet been announced.
In an earlier news, the company unveiled a duo of electric crossovers meant to phase out the current RX and RX L models, as well as an heir to the IS sedan. By 2030, Lexus plans to stop offering ICE cars in the USA, China and Western Europe. It expects to go full-electric on all the remaining markets by 2035.
