A rare, track-only Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition coupe produced in 2011 as part of a limited series comprising only 50 vehicles will be put up on sale at the Barrett-Jackson’s later this April.
The car has only traveled a total of 1,603 miles (2,580 kilometers). It comes with a modernized 4.8-liter V10 engine whose performance has been improved from 552 to 562 hp (412 to 419 kW). The upgrade allows the coupe to accelerate 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds – 0.1 s faster than the stock model. It can also achieve a maximum speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).
Compared to its stock counterpart, the Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition also features an aerodynamic body kit as well as sports-grade exhaust and suspension. In 2011, when the batch of Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition cars just came out, it cost U.S. $445,000. It is hard to say what price one can fetch now, considering that even the starting price of the lot hasn’t been revealed yet.
