Lexus LM luxury minivan steps into 2nd generation

Lexus has used the Shanghai Show as a demo platform for its new LM minivan, which will be sold in 60 countries around the world and not just China, like before.

The luxury vehicle is manufactured on a modification of the TNGA platform known as the GA-K. It is 5,125 mm (200.2 inches) long and has 3,000 mm (117.2 inches) of wheelbase. The European version will be slightly longer than this.

On the outside, the second-generation LM sports a pronounced front bumper, a large radiator grille, complex headlights and new wheels ranging up to 19 inches in diameter.

The seat count can be four, six or seven. The four-seater is a luxury business van with a partition wall between the driver’s cab and the passenger space and a 48-inch TV mounted on it. All three variants ship with a large dashboard display ensemble incorporating a digital gauge cluster and a multimedia screen.

The LM is a hybrid-only model. The only spec announced for Europe so far is called LM 350h and uses a 2.5-liter IC engine in tandem with a single electric motor for 250 PS (247 hp / 184 kW) and 239 Nm (176 lb-ft) of torque.
