Next-gen Lexus LX ‘600’ teased on a photo and a video

Lexus will be unveiling the next generation of the LX SUV soon, but in the meantime, have a look at some teasers.

The image shows the rear end of the car with taillights in the brand’s latest style with an LED strip between them. The trunk door is curved somewhat instead of straight, which could make the whole profile more dynamic if used correctly.

Note also the previously unused model designation ‘LX 600’. One theory states it could be a top spec armed with the turbocharged V6 of the Toyota Land Cruiser 300. If so, then it would have around 415 PS (409 hp / 305 kW) at its disposal. Another guess is that it might be a hybrid with an extra electric motor. A V8 is also not entirely out of the question.

In turn, the video shows the off-roader in motion, but it zaps past too fast for any details to be discernible, even if you stop the playback.

Earlier rumors claimed that Lexus could postpone the launch of its new LX due to microchip shortage, but now it looks like the company is ready for the reveal. Having said that, the actual delivery dates remain unknown.
