An interesting lot – a Lexus LX crossover SUV manufactured back in 2001 – has been put up for an auction sale at eBay. The starting price of the vehicle is U.S. $129,000 – full 50 percent above the cost of the latest car model.
The description of the lot states that the car has traveled less than 1,600 kilometers (1,000 miles) and has never experienced a road accident. Nevertheless, the same vehicle can be found with a ‘salvage’ mark in the insurance firm databases. Essentially, this means that it was stolen straight from its showroom in 2001. When it was finally discovered, the rare Lexus LX 470 went on to collect dust in a dedicated garage until someone bought it via an auction.
We won’t know what the car is really worth to a collector until the sale is finalized, however, its near-peak condition allows to assume that it’s going to score quite high.
