The facelifted Lexus RC F coupe just debuted at the Detroit Motor Show in the United States. The mid-generational refresh made the car lighter, more powerful and more style-conscious. There is also now a Track Edition trim available.
On the outside, you’ll be able to tell the facelifted series from the old one by its new radiator grille and reshaped front/rear lighting.
The aforementioned Lexus RC F Track Edition features carbon rear wing, hood and roof, as well as 19-inch BBS wheels, heavy-duty carbon-ceramic brakes by Brembo, and a titanium exhaust system with the tailpipes made of the same material.
Both trims come powered by the same naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The car is rated at 478 hp (356 kW) and 535 Nm (395 lbft) of torque for the North American market. The regular trim accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in 4.2 seconds, which is 0.2s better than its predecessor, while the Track Edition manages the same in 3.9s.
The facelifted Lexus RC F will become available in Q2 of 2019. The company doesn’t talk prices yet, but pre-facelift offers begin at U.S. $64,700.
