Internet got a video that captured the concept from Apple. The test car is
equipped with an autonomous control system, the project was named Titan. The
control unit was placed on the roof of the Lexus RX. According to the company's
representatives, this placement option implies its easy installation. Recall,
this spring on the Internet were photos of another novelty from Apple. Then the
company also used the Lexus RX, however the control unit was a different
design.
In general,
rumors about the work of Apple specialists on the project of their own drone
went from 2015. But a year later it became known that the company refused to
develop its own car. It was then that the employees who worked in the Titan
project were transferred to another start-up Zoox, which also creates
autonomous vehicle management systems.
In December
2016, Apple officially confirmed the work on the technology of unmanned
vehicles.
