Tuner squeezes a V8 under the hood of a Lexus RX

Gordon Ting has cooperated with the North American branch of Lexus to build an RX SUV with eight cylinders at its disposal. The car ended up with extensive chassis modifications and some styling tweaks.

Apparently, Ting did not appreciate the fact that, while many Lexus cars shipped natively with V8s, the affordable RX did not. He cut into the bottom of the car, installed different engine supports and broadened the transmission tunnel to be able to put a 5.0-liter mill there. The result was 477 PS (470 hp / 351 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque at the crank.

Along with the new core, the RX received fender flares, 22-inch wheels, Brembo performance brakes, and adjustable shocks.
