Toyota Racing Development has presented a range of body kit parts and functional accessories for the latest Lexus RX (see video). Most of the options are just for show, but some actually improve handling and comfort. Customers in Japan can already pre-order from the company’s dealerships.
Among other things, the list includes a new front splitter that mostly follows the same outlines as the standard bumper, but lends the front end a more intricate shape. The rear end gets a modest-sized rear wing and a diffuser, while the sides benefit from elaborate sill extensions. New side mirror caps and original 20- and 21-inch wheels are also included.
For the suspension, buyers can get new strut braces and tweaked shock absorbers that help reduce vibrations, improve comfort and make handling more predictable overall.
The body kit costs ¥792,000 (around $5,600), while the wheels come in at ¥1,012,000 ($7,150).
