Lexus is busy getting a battery-powered SUV called the RZ 450e ready for the launch, and a recent image leak suggests it will be getting a bi-color version.
The user who posted the pics online claims they are original and depict a production car in a real-world environment. There is no source given, but the frames look like they could have been taken from an ad video shoot. If so, we may be able to see the video itself soon.
The car shown combines coppery orange with black, the latter present on the roof, the hood and the imitation grille at the front end. It looks like the designers wanted us to pay special attention to the admittedly impressive front clip of the car. Neither the Subaru Solterra nor the Toyota bZ4X, with which the RX 450e shares most of its tech and features, are available with a dual-tone finish like this one.
Powertrain specs remain to be announced. The related SUV duo mentioned above comes with a choice between one motor (204 PS / 201 hp / 150 kW) and two motors (217 hp / 214 hp / 160 kW). Earlier rumors claimed the number 450 in the model designation hinted at the powertrain output in some way, but this does not appear to be the case.
Lexus said a few days ago that the production SUV would ship with a yoke steering wheel instead of a regular round wheel. It would also get its own interior design unlike that of its Subaru and Toyota cousins.
