Gridserve has conducted a study of Internet search queries made by people from all around the world in order to see which EVs attract the most interest. As one would expect, Tesla cars still reigned supreme in the charts, but the popularity boom of the Lexus RZ was unexpected, to say the least.
The research encompassed 200 countries around the world and 317 models of electric cars. All search query statistics was taken from Google.
As it turned out, the Tesla Model 3, Kia EV6, and Tesla Model Y remain the world’s most searched-for electric vehicles. Following them, in that order, are the Ioniq 5, Tesla Model S, and Porsche Taycan.
The Lexus RZ mentioned above landed on the ninth line in the overall rating, but at the same time turned out to be the most searched-for EV in whopping 47 countries. It does look like Lexus hit the nail on the head with the RZ, considering that it was introduced not long ago.
