A Mitsubishi dealership in Chicago is selling the world’s only limousine with a Learjet 35 plane body for a touch under $3,800,000.
Back in the early 2000s, the Limojet used to fly the skies above the USA like any other business jet. It was later decommissioned and handed over to Exotic Coach Limousines for the conversion. It cost Dan Harris and his team around 12 years of life and 40,000 workhours to bring the idea to life. Having spent in excess of $1 million, the team produced the world’s only stretch limo with an airplane body.
This necessitated designing, manufacturing and testing a custom stainless-steel frame, which alone took two years to complete. The interior was completely overhauled in a cinema vestibule-like fashion, with colorful LED lighting all around, high-end acoustics and a large TV screen.
The same vehicle cropped up on sale two years ago (we reported) with a $5,000,000 USD buy-it-now price, but the highest bidder thought it worth only $600,000.
