Lincoln Aviator owners may now pick a new paid option called VisioBlade, essentially a pair of heated windshield wipers that makes a quick job of defrosting the windshield.
The manufacturer claims the brushes only need around four minutes to get from freezing temperatures to +30ºС (+86ºF). They come with integrated washer liquid jets that help minimize washer liquid consumption while keeping the glass clean at all times.
According to a study conducted by Lincoln, using the climate control unit to defrost the windshield and melt the ice around the wipers usually takes longer than 15 minutes. VisioBlade reduces the waiting time by a factor of three and also helps keep the wet snow away from the wipers when driving.
