First official photos of the new Lincoln Continental saloon/sedan have appeared on the manufacturer’s official website. It seems like the company gave its latest creation ‘suicide doors’ – i.e., doors that open against the traffic flow. The not-so-safe car door design was common in Lincoln models issued in the 60s.
The once-deceased Lincoln Continental saw its second birth two years ago, just as the last MKS rolled off the assembly line. The current, 10th-generation vehicle utilizes the same platform as the latest Ford Mondeo.
In the United States, Lincoln Continental ships at $45,160 and above with a choice of two twin-turbo EcoBoost engines (2.7L and 3.0L) and a naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 Cyclone. Their respective performances are 340, 406 and 309 horsepower (253, 302, and 230 kW).
