Which of the two Lincoln Navigators will win in a drag race: the one with the stock 450 horsepower (336 kW) or the one boosted to 600 (448)? Rhetorical, isn’t it? On the other hand, that extra oomph always means parting with extra cash, and is it ultimately worth it? Now that’s a good question! Watch this video by Hennessey Performance, and maybe you won’t have to wonder again.
The showdown took place at the Pennzoil Proving Grounds in Texas. As you may clearly see, the 600-HP Lincoln Navigator is miles ahead of its production counterpart in terms of dynamics and overall drivability.
The tuning kit consists of a high-flow induction system, a massive intercooler with a blow-off valve, and a stainless-steel exhaust system. Proposed options include Brembo performance brakes, lowered suspension and custom wheels.
The modded SUV makes 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.8 seconds and covers a quarter mile in 12.9 seconds. Not bad for a vehicle that weighs 2,579 kilos (5,685 lb), not bad at all!
