Video: Three huge SUVs have it out on the drag strip

The latest CarWOW video pits together a Cadillac Escalade, a GMC Yukon and a Lincoln Navigator. Which one do you think is faster on the drag strip?

Powering the Navigator is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 TT dialed up to 450 PS (444 hp / 331 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque. Both the Escalade and the Yukon use identical naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engines capable of 420 PS (414 hp / 309 kW) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque.

In case you need spoilers, read on. Anyway, the Lincoln won the first standing run rather easily. Unfortunately, the driver fumbled the launch the second time around, resulting in the Cadillac and the GMC breathing down his neck the whole time. It still won the run, though.

In absolute terms, the Navigator completed the quarter-mile in 15.7 seconds, the Escalade took 0.2 seconds longer, and the GMC was third with 16.1 seconds.

A rolling start let the GMC claim revenge over its rivals, however, as it launched much faster off the line thanks to weighing less than the other two. Fates have turned when it and the Cadillac both hit their electronic speed limiters, netting the Lincoln yet another victory.
