Lincoln Town Car gets turned into Rolls-Royce Phantom

A Craigslist sale ad has recently come up, offering a very interesting 1996 Lincoln Town Car that its owner had restyled to look like the famous Rolls-Royce Phantom.

The photo depicts a cherry-red vehicle with golden side plates. With a livery like this, this particular Phantom impersonator stands no chance of riding the streets unnoticed.

The ad description states that the car comes equipped with 20-inch multi-spoke wheels, power-assisted side mirrors, and an interior which is draped in leather and features soft-padded power seats. Lamentably enough, this is precisely one of those cases when the car looks better on the outside than the inside: 22 years of wear and tear have taken its toll.

The engine compartment of the rear-driven Roll-Royce wannabe houses a massive 4.6-liter V8 engine with 210+ hp (160 kW). The car uses four-speed automatic gear switching. Its total traveled distance approaches 198,000 km (123,000 mi).

The owner only asks U.S. $8,000 for his unique ride.
