The final production form of the Lincoln Zephyr looks barely different from its concept version revealed in April (see video).
The car is set to debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in late November. It is 4,982 mm long, 1,865 mm wide and 1,485 mm tall with 2,930 mm between the axles, and tips the scales at 2,054 kilos. The production will take place at the Changan-Ford joint enterprise in China, and it will not be available outside of its domestic market.
From the technical point of view, the Zephyr shares its underpinnings with the next-gen Ford Mondeo. Its two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder puts out 238 PS (235 hp / 175 kW) for an eight-speed automatic transmission to carry to the front axle. The top speed is limited at 225 km/h (140 mph).
The production car shown on the pictures has much smaller wheels than the concept had, but higher trims might still be available with larger wheel sizes. There are also conventional side mirrors instead of video cameras, since using the latter in this function is still prohibited by law in China.
There are two trim variants on the pictures: chrome and black. The differences mostly boil down to ornamental elements found on the front fenders, bumpers and doors. Knowing Lincoln, the latter trim could be named Black Badge or Black Label.
