The Li Auto L9 may be a cool and modern electric SUV, but what would be your first reaction to seeing multiple pedestrians and a cyclist displaying on the screen as you are driving through a deserted cemetery?
According to AutoHome, the owner of the car decided to pay a visit to his departed relatives, so he drove up to the cemetery only to see his car surrounded by multiple human figures he was unable to see. There was even a man on a bicycle among them.
The automaker has already stepped in to comment on the incident, emphasizing that it was nothing more than self-driving sensors and software acting up. While disturbing at times, these false positives in no way affect the performance of the autonomous driving tech on board.
The Li Auto L9 debuted last spring with a large number of sensors on board, including video cameras, ultrasonic radars and a LiDAR. Per the manufacturer, the car is aware of its entire surroundings thanks to having a 360-degree field of view.
