No doors, no roof, low weight and insane top speed – care to guess what car it is? That’s right, it’s the Lotus 3-Eleven. Taking a speedster like this to its limit can be scary, but someone actually did it this weekend.
Back when it debuted, the Lotus 3-Eleven came in two variants to choose between: track-only and street-legal. The latter had more performance, but both arguably had more than enough. Only 311 units was made before a particularly powerful version of the 3-Eleven came out in 2018 with the model suffix ‘430’.
The example in the video, however, is an older car from the initial batch of 311. It comes equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 powered by an Edelbrock Roots supercharger. It manages to churn out 416 PS (410 hp / 306 kW) and 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels while weighing mere 925 kilograms (2,040 pounds).
