Lotus has been working on its very first crossover SUV for a while now, drip-feeding us vague teaser pics even though we have already seen patent filings. It is official now that the off-roader debuts next Tuesday, March 29, 2022.
A minute-long announcement video demonstrates the smooth profile of the vehicle along with glass and other design elements. It also states that the launch event will start at 19:30 BST, which corresponds to 18:30 UTC.
The SUV packs a large traction battery available in sizes up to 120 kWh, as well as dual electric motors maxing out at 708 PS (698 hp / 521 kW). Is sports an aggressive body design with active aerodynamic parts and hood air intakes.
Patent images depict it with video cameras instead of side mirrors, but many countries still consider such an arrangement illegal.
