Lotus, an English sport and racing car manufacturer, has lately been working on a new Exige Sport 410 sports vehicle based on the track-only Exige Cup 430. Reportedly, the street-legal car gets to inherit the entire body kit, suspension, chassis and the engine from its antecedent.
The vehicle will weigh over 1,000 kg (2,200 lbs.) and command a large six-cylinder, 416-horsepower (310 kW) engine. It operates in conjunction with a six-speed manual transmission for best overall performance.
The upcoming Lotus Exige Sport 410 will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.3 seconds and ultimately reach just under 300 km/h (187 mph). This is largely owing to its carbon-fiber body kit, as well as a splitter and a diffusor made of aluminum and contributing another 150 to 220 kg (330 – 485 lbs.) of downforce.
The vehicle sports Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, four-piston brake supports, all-movable anti-roll bars and adjustable suspension. Remote battery disconnect switch and titanium-alloy exhaust system are available as options.
Prices will be revealed later.
