A battery sedan rivaling the Porsche Taycan next year will follow the recently introduced Lotus Eletre, the automaker says, calling the prototype simply ‘Type 133’. Autocar was able to find out some details about it.
On the outside, the sedan will look much like the Eletre shown in our gallery and the video here, but not without its own, unique touches. An efficient aero kit and a minimalistic cabin are also on the list. The Eletre comes powered by dual electric motors rated together at 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW), and the sedan is expected to get something similar or the same.
In addition to this, Lotus has confirmed that the Type 133 be getting high-end variants as well. Among other things, Managing Director Matt Windle said that the entry-spec SUV was just a starting point, and not nearly all the company was capable of. Rumors are now circulating about a possible tri-motor Eletre version packing 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW).
