Lotus has released precise specifications of its upcoming Emira sports car along with pricing details. The First Edition will pack a 3.5-liter Toyota engine and start from £75,995 in the UK, or €95,995 in other countries around Europe.
The engine makes 406 PS (400 hp / 299 kW) in conjunction with a six-speed transmission, and you can choose between manual and automatic (with paddle shifters). The former version needs 4.3 seconds to get to 100 km/h (62 mph), and the latter is one-tenth of a second faster than that. Top speed amounts to 290 km/h (180 mph) regardless of gearbox type.
As should be expected, the First Edition is quite well-featured and packs LED lighting all around, titanium exhaust, 20-inch light alloys, and six vivid exterior paints to choose from. The Lower Black package of exterior trim accents is already included as well.
Inside, customers can pick from seven available trim schemes involving Nappa leather and Alcantara. The seats support 12 different adjustments, the infotainment display has two displays sized 10.25 and 12.3 inches across, there is a reversing camera, and a 10-channel audio system.
The production should start next spring.
