Lotus just published a video of a mystery car scheduled for premiere in the coming hours. The clip is barely more than 10 seconds long and avoids showing the vehicle.
The camera focuses on the sky at first and then cuts to red and white sideline markings. It then teleports inside a car where a driver in a carbon-fiber hood vigorously clutches the wheel. A clearly heard and rather aggressive engine soundtrack accompanies the footage.
Lotus is already offering a racing-only GT4 version of its Emira coupe (see the gallery), so maybe a special road-legal variant of it is coming soon as well. In its standard guise, the Emira can use either a Toyota V6 capable of 406 PS (400 hp / 298 kW) or a Mercedes-AMG four-banger rated at 364 PS (359 hp / 268 kW).
