Lotus slashes its production targets

Geely-owned British car marque Lotus no longer wants to deliver 76,000 cars next year.

The company has revised its target for 2025, reducing it by roughly 60% – to mere 30,000 units. It explained that prohibitive tariffs enacted against EVs in the United States and Europe were the main reason.

Electric vehicles make up the majority of cars currently made by Lotus, and they are all being manufactured in China.
