Lotus launches a configurator for its 2,000-HP Evija hypercar

The production of the electric land rocket hasn’t even started yet, but the entire batch planned for 2020 has already been sold out via pre-orders. In the meantime, Lotus has launched a unique configurator app to visualize and accessorize the Evija.

The formidable Lotus Evija is scheduled to hit the market in a series of 130 production units priced starting from £1.7 million ($2.1M UAD). It packs a quad-motor electric powertrain capable of 2,000 hp (≈1,500 kilowatts) and 1,700 Nm (≈1,250 lb-ft) of torque.

The app utilizes 3D video gaming tech and can render both static and animated images of the vehicle. Each client receives his/her own personalized 3D viewing space with 360-degree camera freedom and an opportunity to make a screenshot that the company will print out in maximum quality and hand over alongside the pre-ordered car.

You may visit the Lotus official website for a glimpse of the Evija in red, yellow and black colors. All original promo materials featured a grey-colored coupe, so this might be interesting.
