Lucid has shared some pictures of its second mass-market car, a crossover SUV named Gravity. Combining supercar-like dynamic performance with an opulent and roomy interior, it will be revealed in detail and go on sale in early 2023.
According to CEO Peter Rawlinson, the Gravity incorporates every latest achievement of the company and is expected to set the bar for premium SUV EVs worldwide. This makes us think that, rather than the Tesla Model X, the newcomer might be going after the kind of clientele who buy the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV and the likes.
From the outside, the Gravity resembles the Air sedan excusing the bulkier frame. Its most distinct features include a large rear spoiler, slim headlights and a nearly all-glass roof.
It is official that the Gravity SUV will ship with a choice between five, six and seven seats, but Lucid does not clarify whether buyers will be able to configure their car flexibly or choose from a limited number of pre-made configurations based on their needs.
The infotainment system inside features high-definition Glass Cockpit displays and boasts an updated UI, the company adds.
Ordering will become available in a few months’ time, and the first deliveries will not be made until 2024.
