According to reports from multiple South Korean media, a number of Hyundai Motor Group representatives including Chief Designer Luc Donckerwolke have recently held a meeting with the team behind EV startup Lucid.
The goal of the meeting was supposedly to discuss the prospects of teaming up on luxury EV design and production. With Lucid in a dire financial situation and desperate for funding, it would make sense for the Korean automotive giant to be interested in a share in it. The partnership could provide Hyundai with much-needed EV technology, as long as it can make Lucid a suitable financing offer.
Neither party has commented on these rumors yet.
